We are looking for a Carpenter’s helper who has successfully completed a carpentry or building trades program from an accredited trade school who is willing to work in all environments, pays attention to detail, takes pride in their work, works well under pressure, possess interpersonal skills, and wants to be part of a team with job security and promotional opportunities. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our clients, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
• Prepare job sites by cleaning and setting up tools and materials
• Assist with preparing shower walls for substrate materials and water proofing
• Assist with the installation of cabinetry in kitchens and bathrooms
• Load and unload materials, ensuring safe and efficient handling
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in carpentry

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of carpentry tools and techniques
• Graduate of a building trades or carpentry program
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Clean driving record & criminal history

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a construction or carpentry-related role
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
• Basic computer skills
• Read and comprehend English

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in construction environments

Pay

Starting $20.00 – $25.00 per/hr. pay commensurate with experience
